Eolus Vind AB\nCompany Announcement\n\nEolus to establish wind farms that will supply Google´s Finnish data center\r\nwith renewable electricity\n\nHässleholm, 2014-01-22 11:00 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- \r\n\r\nEolus Vind AB and Google have signed a ten year agreement in which Google will\r\nbuy all electricity generated by 29 wind turbines that Eolus establishes in\r\nfour wind farms in southern Sweden. \r\n\r\nThe Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), means that Google during ten years starting\r\nin early 2015 will buy all renewable electricity produced by the 29 turbines of\r\nthe models Vestas V90, V100 and V112. Along with the wind turbine supply\r\nagreement, Eolus and Vestas have signed a ten-year full service agreement.\r\nEolus will after commissioning operate and manage the facilities. Total\r\ninstalled capacity is 59 MW. \r\n\r\nEolus financial strength is an important component of the deal since the\r\ncontract is signed directly with Google as the buyer of the electricity. The\r\nlong-term contract ensures that Eolus can offer investors an interesting\r\ninvestment opportunity in the Swedish market. \r\n\r\n-Our agreement with Google is a further endorsement of the potential of wind\r\npower in the Nordic countries said Hans-Christian Schulze, deputy CEO of Eolus.\r\n–We´re looking forward to building our new wind farms over the year and helping\r\nGoogle stay ahead of its commitment to carbon neutrality. \r\n\r\nThe four wind farms are Skalleberg in Hjo municipality, Mungseröd in Tanum\r\nmunicipality, Ramsnäs in Laxå municipality and Alered in Falkenberg\r\nmunicipality.
