Ölme

Since 2022, Eolus has had permission to establish a wind farm with 11 wind turbines with a total height of 200 meters in an area approximately 7 km northeast of Ölme in Kristinehamn municipality. The area has good wind conditions and there are few competing interests in the area, making it suitable for wind power.

What happens now?

Preparations to build the wind farm are ongoing, and at the same time, the possibility of establishing a solar park in the area is being investigated. Establishing a solar park in connection with a wind farm offers several advantages. The two types of energy complement each other very well as they produce the most electricity during different seasons and times of the day. It is also economically beneficial for society that the grid connection can be utilized to the maximum.
